A Great time was had by all & a lot of money was raised at Langstone Sailing Club in aid of Sailability (Sailing for the disabled) http://www.langstonesailability.org.uk
Problems were encountered to start with Sally's PA System (I could do with a new one!) but this was soon rectified by much needed back up from Mick, Martin & Alex. Mick's Rythym Box proved to be a hit - especially with those on the dance floor.

He thanked both Sue Graves & Gill Jennings for originally starting it all off & mentioned the fact that he'd lived in Selsey for 40 years & wouldn't live anywhere else!

15th June 2008

As part of Selsey's Doorstep Green day, Some of The West Sussex Guitar Club performers were invited to take part in this outdoor event. A suitable location was chosen & even though we didn't attract massive gatherings, a good time was had by all. A chance also to experiment with all our amplification! & a good advertisement for the Selsey Festival Concert on 22nd August being held in the Selsey Centre. Watch this space for more details on this & other Festival events.

14th June 2008

Over £5000 was raised on Saturday Evening at a Charity Concert in Walberton in aid of Chestnut House, Childrens Hospice. More than 180 tickets were sold. The £15 tickets bought a lovely 'Hog Roast' & Entertainment firstly from a very lively Samba band at Westergate School, It was a hard act to follow but I (Sally Paice) managed a few acoustic songs starting with 'Singing the Blues' & ending with 'Let's twist again' - Then Look & soundalike 'Elvis' played by Steve Holden gave an amazing performance. To finish off the evening we danced to some great sounds from the Abbachicks. Brian Ansell was our Compere for the evening and did a great job too!

28th March 2008
