A Great time was had by all & a lot of money was raised at Langstone
Sailing Club in aid of Sailability (Sailing for the disabled) http://www.langstonesailability.org.uk
Problems were encountered to start with Sally's PA System (I could
do with a new one!) but this was soon rectified by much needed back up from Mick, Martin & Alex. Mick's
Rythym Box proved to be a hit - especially with those on the dance floor.
Wednesday 29th October
We made our debut at Fishbourne Club, Blackboy Lane. What a great venue. Click on

£75 was raised in our Music for the Under Fives session
as part of the Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan. Thank you to all those that took part, especially those that gave
their time making cakes & other goodies.
The Wintertones played Live to a packed & appreciative
audience at the Winterton Arms on Saturday Evening. Cheryl, Jon & Clive performed about twenty songs &
finished with an 'Encore' of their most popular numbers.

A Guitar Concert with some of
the West Sussex Guitar Club Members was enjoyed by a large audience at the Selsey Centre. A varied programme was started
off by The Regis Quartet & Acts included Zoe Barnett, Tamzin Barnett & Linda Kelsall-Barnett, Ross Barnes, Simon Keet,
Euan McGovern, Sally Paice, Victor Smith, Patrick Snowden, Karim Bedda, Sam Bell, Alison Stonestreet, Patrick Butcher, Roy
Barron, Frances Jones, Sasha Levtov & Sam Brown. Behind the Scenes were Mervyn & Peter who helped the whole concert
run smoothly & my family - Ann, Fred & Joyce, who worked very hard all evening preparing the food
& Wine

Monday 4th August
The Selsey Festival Curtain Raiser was held at the Selsey Centre. This was
attended by all of the Festival Committee & organisers. Sir Patrick Moore opened the Festival with an encouraging
speech He said that month's of hard work and effort had gone into organising the Festival & how fortunate Selsey
was in having this unique event. He thanked both Sue Graves & Gill Jennings for originally starting it all off & mentioned
the fact that he'd lived in Selsey for 40 years & wouldn't live anywhere else!

A Blues Music Workshop was held at North Mundham Village Hall
near Chichester with music to suit Guitars & Recorders.
Music included Chuck Berry's Johnny B. Goode & other twelve bar blues songs.

Wednesday 9th July
We provided entertainment & represented Bognor Regis Community College by performing
a few songs at the AvisfordPark Hilton Hotel. We Sang 'All I have to do is Dream'
by the Everley Brothers, 'Blue Moon' & 'Singing the Blues'.

Patrick Moore hosted a Garden Party
in aid of Cancerwise which still went ahead despite the bad weather. As soon as I find out the amount raised on
the day I will post it here.
As part of Selsey's Doorstep Green day,
Some of The West Sussex GuitarClub performers were invited to take part in this outdoor
event. A suitable location was chosen & even though we didn't attract massive gatherings, a good time was had
by all. A chance also to experiment with all our amplification! & a good advertisement for the Selsey
Festival Concert on 22nd August being held in the Selsey Centre. Watch this space for more
details on this & other Festival events.
14th June 2008
Over £5000 was raised on Saturday Evening at a CharityConcert in Walberton in aid of Chestnut House, Childrens Hospice. More than 180 tickets were sold. The
£15 tickets bought a lovely 'Hog Roast' & Entertainment firstly from a very lively Samba band at Westergate School,
It was a hard act to follow but I (Sally Paice) managed a few acoustic songs starting with 'Singing the Blues' &
ending with 'Let's twist again' - Then Look & soundalike 'Elvis' played by Steve Holden gave an amazing performance. To
finish off the evening we danced to some great sounds from the Abbachicks. Brian Ansell was our Compere for the
evening and did a great job too!

Over £4000 was raised at a Charity Auction
in aid of Cancerwise. All Sorts of Items were auctioned off - from David Shepherd Paintings to Family outings & Boat
holidays - A fun time was had by all.
